Via Yahoo comes a staple of class warfare filler: A Kiplinger fluff piece about "advice" from people who were millionaires before they turned 25.|
Representative quote from Catherine Cook: ""Stop just thinking about it, and make it happen."
Short translation of entire article: Be born white and on economic third base. When you reach home plate, pretend you hit a triple.
i fuckin hate rich people.

France in 1789 knew how to deal with these goddamn privileged rich fucks.
Replace them with slightly-less-rich fucks, start a series of unsuccessful wars, collapse under the weight of partisan infighting and get overthrown by a charismatic Emperor? Never fear; we're well on our way down that time-honored path in the U.S.
Well in this country the rich guys know the secret-brainwash everybody into thinking they have a shot at being rich someday, even if they have no chance in hell. People here dont wanna overthrow the rich, they wanna BE them.
Unfortunately this is true.
A few years back there was a poll reporting that something like 20% (I honestly can't remember the exact number) of Americans thought they were in the top 2% wealthiest.
This reminds me of the self-help people who are convinced if you don't have enough money, it's your fault because you haven't been saying abundance affirmations.
I'm convinced it's articles like this that get relatively unwealthy people to continue to support tax cuts for the rich simply because it perpetuates the myth that maybe one day they'll be rich too.
I love it - journalism and snark go great together.
